In short: FORT Driver is a business application for drivers. Data is used only for transport operations, application functionality, security and support.
1. General information
FORT Logistics places great importance on the privacy of people who use the FORT Driver application (“App”). Data is processed in accordance with applicable law and only to the extent necessary to provide the service.
The App helps drivers handle assigned transport tasks, routes, completion statuses, documents and notifications. It does not display advertising or sell personal data.
2. Location information
Some App features require access to the device’s precise location. Position may be determined using GPS, mobile networks, Wi-Fi or other methods made available by the device.
Before location is first shared, the App displays information about data collection and use, requests the user’s affirmative agreement and then requests system permission. While the user is signed in and actively using the App, it may periodically send coordinates, speed, heading, accuracy and time of measurement to the FORT service.
Location is used for navigation, route-progress information and sharing the current operational position with authorized dispatchers at the transport company. It is not used for advertising.
Location access can be changed at any time in the device settings. Disabling it may limit navigation, position reporting and other transport-related functions. Data is transmitted using appropriate safeguards.
3. Account information
A user account is created or assigned by a transport company or an authorized administrator outside the App. Data processed for the account may include the driver’s name, telephone number, user or account identifier, assigned company and vehicle, driver status and authentication data needed for secure sign-in.
This information is used to authenticate the user, protect the account, display the correct assignments and save settings associated with use of the App.
4. Application operation information
When the App is used, assigned transport tasks and plans, routes, addresses, dates, loads, stops, completion statuses and driver reports may be processed. If the user selects the relevant function, the App also uploads transport-document photos taken with the camera or selected from the device.
To deliver notifications, an installation identifier or push token and notification-delivery data are processed. The App language, IP address and basic technical request data may also be processed where needed for communication, security and proper service operation.
5. Data recipients
Data is made available only as needed to provide the service: to the transport company that assigned the account, its authorized dispatchers and administrators, authorized FORT service personnel, and providers of hosting, data storage, maps, route calculation, notifications and technical infrastructure.
Data may be disclosed to public authorities where required by law. FORT Logistics does not sell personal data and the App does not use personal data for advertising.
6. Data security, retention and deletion
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Authentication data is stored in protected device storage, and access to service information is restricted to authorized accounts and providers.
Account, transport, location and document data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service, follow the transport company’s instructions, perform an agreement, defend legal claims or comply with legal obligations. Authentication data stored on the device is removed after logout. Other local data can be removed by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
Because accounts are assigned outside the App, requests to deactivate an account or delete data should be submitted to the transport company’s administrator or to kontakt@fort-logistics.com . After identity verification, data will be deleted or anonymized except where it must be retained by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
7. Data controller and contact
For driver data, assignments, routes, location and documents, the controller is normally the transport company that provided the user with an account. In that situation, FORT Logistics acts as the App provider and processes data on the company’s behalf.
For technical support, service security or direct communication, FORT Logistics, Poland, may act as the controller.
Users may request access to, correction, restriction, portability or deletion of their data, or object to processing, by contacting their transport company or FORT Logistics. App permissions can also be changed directly in the device settings.
